Ok, so everyone has been asking what’s new, what’s hot and what’s next… the better question is, how fast can you click on this site?

Last month was crazy with activity as we gear up for several releases. As always, Tygereye clients are available for interviews, so send an email with your request for anyone you’d like to speak with. Here’s the latest on the projects:

Bake Up Boyz - The time is finally nearing for the April 29 release of Fresh Out Da Kitchen, the full-length debut from Michigan’s Bake Up Boyz. In the meantime, we have their mixtape The Cook Up hosted by DJ Green Lantern available to hear on their page. If you have not received your review copy of Fresh Out Da Kitchen (which features appearances from Jim Jones and The Dramatics) yet, please let me know asap!

The Cataracs - We just started a few weeks ago with this Bay Area duo, and if you’re ready to hear something completely fresh and different, then just click on their page! Their new mixtape KIDS, presented by New York’s DJ Eleven, is there for your listening pleasure. The project offers a dozen original self-produced songs from The Cataracs blended with songs from the likes of The Cure, Mac Dre, B.O.B., UGK, Zion I, Usher, T-Pain, Andre Nickatina and many more.

DipSkate - It’s been a full year now working with DipSkate, and things are getting bigger and better all the time! We have some huge announcements coming up, so stay tuned! Congrats to Rachard Johnson who placed 5th at Seattle’s Barnburner competition at the end of March, to Ramelle Knight for his new 50-50 Frames sponsorship, and to Julian Bah who is doing some touring right now with the Rollerblade skate company!

J-Money - Thanks for everyone who has supported J-Money’s recent singles! We’ll have a new update on his official 35*35/Asylum solo release soon!

Jamie Jones - Congrats to Jamie Jones who won both BET’s 106 & Park “Wild Out Wednesday” on March 19, and Music Video 2.0’s “Share The Stage” contest with Swizz Beatz. All you A&R’s looking for the next pop star should have your eye on her!

King Solomon & Giggles - If you’ve taken a listen to the music on their page or seen their previous videos, then you already know that King Solomon & Giggles are some pretty fun guys… seriously! Their new video for “Take Your Pants Off” is coming soon!

Sky Balla - Congratulations are in order for Sky Balla as he celebrates the release of his debut full-length album (April 15) on Tycoon Status/Koch! The album, aptly titled Tycoon Status, is a banger with appearances from E-40, Cassidy, Hell Rell, San Quinn, Mistah F.A.B., Turf Talk and more! If you need a review copy, please contact me asap!

TQ - By now you’ve heard “Paradise” f/ Krayzie Bone, which is produced by Static Major (Rest In Peace). Now TQ has released his second single and video for “S.E.X.Y.” - check his page to take a look! The album Paradise will be released on April 29 (The Hub/Gracie/EMI). Hit us up if you still need a review copy!

U-Krime - Some of you may remember U-Krime from when we worked with them a couple of years back. The Brooklyn-based trio is back with a new mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid entitled The New York Krimes Vol 3: Street Cinema. Click on their page to take a listen! If you prefer a hard copy of the mixtape for review, let us know!

Willie Joe - Atlanta has been poppin’ lately as Willie Joe and the Strong Arm Management team held listening events and a release party for his Thrax On Wax II mixtape and the upcoming Jovan Dais colloborative street album, Good Ass Music. Willie Joe’s album on Sho’Nuff/Capitol is coming soon too!

It’s an unusual winter so far this year… super cold days mixed with super warm days, but one thing is for sure - it’s always hot over here at Tygereye! Let’s get down to it!

9th Wonder - Please bear with us while we await the new release date for 9th Wonder’s album The Wonder Years on Asylum. Info will be coming soon!

Bake Up Boyz - You’ve probably seen the video for “Now I Can Do That” featuring Jim Jones on BET’s Rap City the past couple of weeks. Radio is grabbing this song up throughout the North, Southeast and Midwest, and a promo tour is in the works! 

Couture Ink - Marmah Records has a couple of big projects in the works for Brooklyn’s Couture Ink, namely a solid street album. If you enjoy true lyricism, please take a moment to check out Couture’s single “Ghost Town”!

Dipskate - We have some major announcements for DipSkate coming up in the near future. Most recently, the team added Los Angeles skater Rachard Johnson to the team. Look for the press release with new info coming later this month!

J-Money - The songs “She Bad” featuring Lil Boosie and “Give Her To Me” are available on J-Money’s page, and we just found out that his new solo album will be released through Asylum. More info on the release date is forthcoming!

Jamie Jones - Jamie Jones will be appearing on 106 & Park’s “Wild Out Wednesday” in March!

The Rock Mob - Rock Mob’s new single “Throw Dat Cash Out” is simply bananas! You may remember them from their previous single “Hot Cars” featuring Jim Jones, but trust when I say, this is just the beginning for them!

Sam Scarfo - As we announced last month, the Scarlito’s Way mixtape is in the streets! Sam is finishing up that debut album, and we’ll have some news about his status with Def Jam soon!

Soul Diggaz - With Bow Wow & Omarion’s “Hey Baby (Jump Off)” and Cheri Dennis’ “Portrait Of Love” playing crazy in the clubs right now, Soul Diggaz are already on to their next hit with Making The Band 4’s Donnie. They just landed his first single “Take You There,” and of course they are heavy in the studio with Izza Kizza on their own imprint with Timbaland’s Mosely Music. Congrats to the team for their Grammy nomination on their co-produced track for Keyshia Cole, “Let It Go”!

TQ - TQ’s fourth solo album Paradise will be released on April 1. The title track is his first single, which features Krayzie Bone. Check his page to take a listen! We do have promo albums available for review, so hit me up if you haven’t received your copy.

Willie Joe - Willie Joe’s ever-growing “Bay to the A” campaign is in full swing, and he’s releasing TWO new mixtapes this month. We have some of his most popular songs available on his page, and we’ll have mixtape copies available for review.

Hey media friends!

I know I slowed up on the Tygereye blog a while back, but your persistent urges to get this popping again convinced me to sit down for a few. It was a busy Summer, a busier Fall, and I saw so many of you out and about that it was more fun talking to you in person! Well, we’re back, and we’ve got more great talent to talk about than ever before! Let’s set this off alphabetically - just click the name on the menu to the left to hear new music, see new videos, check the bios and press links for your researching pleasure!

9th Wonder - Most of you know this North Carolina native as a new champion of the boom-bap record. For a change of pace, 9th is preparing a fresh mix of R&B and Hip-Hop for his upcoming album The Wonder Years, slated for release on January 26 on Asylum Records. Guest spots on the album include Erykah Badu, Teedra Moses, Talib Kweli and Mos Def. We’ll have more info on that soon. In the meantime, be sure to keep an ear out for 9th’s work on Erykah Badu’s new single “Honey.”

Bake Up Boyz - This fearsome foursome hails from Michigan, and their new video with Jim Jones is getting pretty crazy on MTV. Please note that their Fharmacy Music Group label mate MC Breed (yes that MC Breed!) is also on the track, and will appear on some other songs on the upcoming album Fresh Out Da Kitchen. Bake Up Boyz have teamed with Phase One Communications/EMI for their Spring ‘07 album release. More on the release date is forthcoming! Check for the page for their newest single “Gucci’s On My Feet” coming to radio in January!

Bar-Bee - We sent out the press release on Bar-Bee last month, just before her infamous video shoot with Beenie Man. Turns out that just as Beenie’s song “Give It Up” featuring Bar-Bee was rising to #1 in Jamaica this month, Beenie came to New York to do Bar-Bee’s video shoot for her new single “Paddy Cake.” The rumors were true - there really was an arrest warrant issued for him that day for missing a court date. But then again, Bar-Bee is more than worth it! Check out her page for some new tracks!

C-Murder - We just let everyone know about C-Murder’s upcoming DVD, The Movement, which will be released on December 11 on Asylum. He’s been hard at work in the studio prepping his album (coming February ‘07 on Asylum). The Movement DVD gives you some behind the scenes insight on the recording process and all of the things he’s been doing since he came home, and you’ll meet the entire Tru Records roster.

Couture Ink - This Brooklyn bred MC is on a mission to bring back strong, competent songwriting. Couture’s current song “Ghost Town” is picking up steam with college radio, and Corporate Ken of Marmah Records is working with Couture to deliver a solid independent project in 2008. In this fast paced time of easy hooks and dance records, Couture Ink is amongst those who are keeping the storytelling aspect of Hip Hop alive. “Ghost Town” is on his page, so take a listen!

Dipskate - This year has been big for the DipSkate team! Since we launched the official publicity campaign in April, a lot of our media friends have taken notice of this multi-talented team. As most of you have figured out by now, the team is comprised of skaters who do professional extreme rollerblading, or as they call it, Freestyle Rolling. Check for them in the new issue of Trace Magazine, and the upcoming issue of Bombin’ Magazine!

First Cousins - You may have heard of Genovese through his work with The LOX or from the publicity he received a couple of years ago for his Universal debut album (which never got released) but the Yonkers MC is back in the saddle with a new vibe. He’s teamed with his childhood friend Gustapo (a Queens native) to create the duo First Cousins. They just released their new single/video for “Oh No” featuring Reka, and are preparing for a Spring ‘08 release of their album This Ain’t Friends It’s Family on Illseed in association with Phase One Communications/EMI. The album will feature guest appearances by Ali Vegas, Joell Ortiz, Uncle Murder, The Outlawz, Tre Williams, PSC’s Big Kuntry and more.

J-Money - You might remember J-Money from his work with Cadillac Don on last year’s hot single “Peanut Butter & Jelly” and their album on Asylum. This time around, J-Money is back with his 35*35 camp for a new solo album. He’s got a hot new single with Lil Boosie “She Bad” that you can find on his page. More info on the album will be coming soon!

Jamie Jones - We’ve been rocking with Jamie Jones for a while now, and appreciate all of you checking in on her. We’re happy to announce that not only does Jamie have a new single “2 Daddy (So Ova U)” but she also has a song on Mr. Collipark’s new Christmas EP! We’ll get that track out to you as soon as we get it. In the meantime, check Jamie’s page for “2 Daddy” and for her video “Hustler’s Krush” featuring (and produced by) Kwame’.

Jin - Thanks to everyone for your amazing support of Jin’s retail release of his album I Promise (Phase One/EMI). We’re still waiting for Jin to get back from China, so hang tight if you’ve put in an interview request!

John Cook - Over the Summer we sent out “Pain,” John Cook’s collaboration with Serius Jones and Wynter Gordon. Thank you to all of you who supported the record, and to everyone who has given Gospel Hip Hop a chance! We do still have a few copies of John Cook’s album Heaven’s Pen available for review. Hit me up if you’d like a copy!

Light A Match - As a premiere design service, Light A Match does some wonderous things with websites, album artwork and more. Rick Joseph is the man behind the magic, and he’s ready to talk to you about your design needs.

Midi Mafia - Congrats to Midi Mafia for sparking a #1 hit in Europe with Jennifer Lopez’ latest single “Hold It Don’t Drop It” - which is also her new single in the U.S. After sweeping the charts earlier this year with Fantasia’s “When I See You,” Bruce Waynne and Dirty Swift have been in high demand. They are still developing several of their own projects via their indie label Family Ties Entertainment, including Shiré, who is also a current Tygereye client!

Pimpin’ Ken - If you haven’t taken good read of Pimpin’ Ken’s book Pimpology: 48 Laws of the Game, then you’re missing out! I read this book myself (before PK teamed up with Tygereye) and I found a lot of great, logical advice in it that pretty much anyone can learn from. As you can probably imagine, Ken’s experiences in his younger life factor in to the wisdom he’s able to provide, although it’s his business sense and natural hustle that makes this book truly interesting. You might remember his HBO classics like Pimps Up Hoes Down and Pimpology Uncut, and that was just the beginning. After the release of his Best of Both Worlds DVD/album with Pimp C this past Fall, Ken is poising himself for some more major television moves!

Sam Scarfo - Many of you probably know New Jersey’s Sam Scarfo best for his standout wings at the notorious Fight Klub battles. He gained an incredible buzz, and as people learned more about his apt songwriting abilities and lyrical firepower, Jay-Z and L.A. Reid signed him to Def Jam. As things progress with the album, Sam is making some super self promotional moves with his latest mixtape Free Lunch and his upcoming DVD/Mixtape project, Scarlito’s Way. We have the full version of Free Lunch (featuring the street singles “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Where You From”) available on his page for you to stream/download. Keep an ear out for Sam Scarfo’s upcoming single “Money In The Bag” too!

Shiré - In October we sent out information on Shiré’s new prelude album Baltimore’s Daughter, and we’re happy to say that the project has created quite a buzz for her! With the team of Hot City Music Group and Midi Mafia’s Family Ties Entertainment at her side, Shiré inked a deal with Steve Rifkind’s SRC label at Universal. A lot of people were surprised to find out that she was the key member of Sisqo’s (Dru Hill) girl group Luvher a few years ago, but it just goes to show what talent and persistence can bring. Shiré is focused on finishing up her debut album Picking Up The Pieces, which will drop in Spring 2008. Be sure to take a listen to the full version of Baltimore’s Daughter on her page!

Hey friends! The weather is hot, and so are we! Welcome back for another edition of Tygereye News! Let’s start with the welcoming committee!

Hypnotize Minds/Asylum artist Lil’ Wyte is prepping the June 5 release of The One And Only, fully produced by Three 6 Mafia. If you saw the episodes of MTV’s Adventures in Hollyhood with Lil’ Wyte’s guest appearances, then you got a very small taste of what this guy has in store with the new album. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform at TJ’s DJ’s a couple of years ago, and he’s got more energy on stage than I can even put into words! We have a listening session this Wednesday 5/30 at Asylum’s offices, and Wyte is available for interviews, so hit us up! Check his page for the new single “I Got Dat Candy“.

Welcome MC/songwriter Kel Spencer, best known to most of you for his work on DJ Jazzy Jeff’s new album, and his songwriting for Will Smith. He’s got a lot in store, including a new video, some hot parties this summer and a new album in the works! Check his page for the new single “The Building“, as well as his hit song with Jazzy Jeff “The Definition“. Kel is available for interviews, and you’ll be seeing him around NYC quite a bit this summer!

It’s a pleasure to have Killah Priest back again, this time for his new album The Offering, due out in August. He’s been talking about this album for a while, working like crazy to bring the best of the best into the fold. We’ll have an NYC listening session soon, and promo copies will go out as soon as we have them. Priest is available for interviews, so hit us up!

On the hometown tip, we’ve got Seattle group Beyond Reality on with the Tygereye family! Kylea is a vet in the Northwest scene, and one of the few women who has kept her music alive without resorting to any marketing gimmicks. Pure and soulful, the new album Souls Journey is a true-school Hip Hop lover’s dream! Check her page for some songs from the album!

Thanks to everyone who has been so patient as Freekey Zekey finished up his Diplomat Records/Asylum debut album, Book of Ezekiel. The release date is July 24, and we’ll have listening sessions asap in NYC. Zeke is ready to talk about the album with you, and we’ve got his new single “Hater What You Lookin’ At” available for streaming on his page. Check for Zeke in the new issues of FEDS, Spate Magazine (cover story), Hip-Hop Weekly (style section), RIDES (Crash), Vibe (article on Myspace hacking), Giant Magazine (article on Dipset cartoons online), and more upcoming. Jamie Jones just finished the video for her Kwame’ produced song “Hustler’s Crush” - we’ll have that for your viewing pleasure very soon! Jamie’s been staying busy in the studio, doing shows throughout the mid-Atlantic region, and gearing up for that debut album. We’ll be doing a viewing party for her video in NYC very soon, so stay tuned. If you love good R&B with that sharp, urban pop appeal, then Jamie’s exactly what you need. Thanks to everyone who has shown love to Tangled Thoughts on their new album Kurupt Presents: Tangled Thoughts Philly 2 Cali - we’re so happy you love it as much as we do! The video for “Jumpoff” featuring Kurupt and Roscoe, with appearances by skateboard phenom Stevie Williams, Jayo Felony and The Reyes Brothers got a very warm reception from media and fans alike, and there’s more on the way! Serius Jones has gotten quite a bit of radio and online love for his hard-hitting track “Can’t Stop The Game” over the past few weeks. He’s been in the studio prepping that DTP/Def Jam debut, and he’ll be out and about in various cities over the summer. If you missed him on BET’s Rap City in the booth last week, no worries - he’s got more coming for you! The word is out on Jim Jones’ Nostic Apparel, even though we haven’t formally done a campaign launch just yet. Be on the lookout for new exclusives on the Nostic website, and upcoming news about MAGIC in August and more!

There’s so much more coming up this summer it’s bananas, and I’m so very proud to be here for everything. Most times, I don’t think there are too many better places than right here and right now, so let’s make the most of it!

Hey everyone! Time has flown by the past couple of months for Tygereye clients, and it’s time we gave you a solid update on what’s new.

I’d like to start by saying a few words for our good friend Joseph Miles III, who passed away on March 16, 2007. Joseph was a shining light for all those who loved him, and his vision and passion for life will not be forgotten. For the past few months, we have been working together to build a campaign for the new Diplomats’ Dipskate team, and Joseph will be smiling on us as we present them to the world. We’ll have more information on Dipskate, |B|Unique and the Freestyle Rolling movement on the site soon. In the meantime, feel free to email me if you’d like more information. Joseph’s dream will live on.

We are gearing up to launch the campaign for Jim Jones’ new Nostic clothing line, which is run by Jim and his mother, Nancy Jones. They made a huge showing at February’s MAGIC show, and the clothes will be in stores nationwide this Fall. Nancy is available for interviews and inquiries regarding the line. Whether you are media or an interested retailer or fashion stylist, please contact us with inquiries.

Those of you have been anticipating the release of Freekey Zekey’s debut album, Book Of Ezekiel, don’t have long to wait now! He’s just wrapped up the recording, and we’ll be setting up listening sessions for you soon. Thanks to everyone who showed love at MAGIC/All-Star Weekend! Jamie Jones is making some major noise in NYC as of late! She won the March 6 Faces In The Crowd showcase at T-NY (shouts to J. Hatch, Reality and the rest of the FITC team!), then followed with an encore performance at their March 20 showcase. This Wednesday, April 4, Jamie will be appearing in the Breakthrough R&B Showcase at Crash Mansion in NYC. The showcase features the hottest up and comers from around the country, and his hosted by Amanda Diva.

Serius Jones is in process of completing his Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam debut. He’s been recording between Atlanta and New York, and made a showing at last month’s Core DJ’s Retreat in Miami. You can find Serius featured as one of Urb Magazine’s “Next 100″ in the new issue too! More updates coming soon!

Needlz is on fire right now with tracks on Rich Boy and Young Buck’s albums. He’s got some more releases coming in 2007, and he’s busy making moves with his Pieces boutique in Hoboken, NJ.

If you’re like me, you may be having a hard time believing we are already a month into 2007. Time truly flies when you’re having fun… or working like crazy! Good for Tygereye, we’ve got a lot of both in the mix, and our usual amazing client updates.

At the top of our agenda this month, a huge congratulations goes out to Serius Jones for his recent signing to Disturbing Tha Peace! It’s been a long road paved with hard work and dilligence, and Serius is finally in a position to bring his music to the world in the right way. Thank you to all of our media friends for putting the news out. We’ll have some press opportunities for Serius coming up, so email me if you would like some time with him.

A couple of quick shouts! First to DJ Demp for putting on so many great events during his 10th Annual Demp Week celebration in Tallahassee earlier this month! Then to TJ of TJ’s DJ’s, who will be hosting his quarterly Tastemaker’s Only Conference on Wednesday January 31 in Tallahassee as well. Love to our new friends Young Cash and his sister Amber - people like you make traveling a lot more fun!

For those of you who were out at Demp Week, you most likely got the chance to meet Dipset’s Freekey Zekey. He’s been hard at work in the studio ever since, and we’ll have more info on the album soon. You may have caught Zeke judging Freestyle Friday on BET’s 106 & Park on the 19th, and it’s highly likely that you’ve seen the interview on the latest Smack DVD. You can check Freekey Zekey’s Myspace page for that video and new photos. If you’re heading to MAGIC (Feb 13-16) in Vegas, you can meet Zeke at the Miskeen Originals booth along with UGK’s Bun B and champion boxer Bernard Hopkins.
